Virtual pixel LED displays and real pixel LED displays are two different display technologies, and there are significant differences between them:
I. Pixel Composition
Real Pixel:
Real pixel LED displays have a 1:1 relationship between the number of physical pixels and the number of pixels actually displayed, meaning the display can only show as many pixels as it has physical pixel points.
The points of real pixels are condensed, and the light-emitting points are on the lamp tubes.
Virtual Pixel:
Virtual pixel LED displays represent a new display technology in LED displays. They combine and distribute physical pixels, such as using software algorithms to control the light-emitting tubes, allowing them to participate in the imaging of multiple adjacent pixels, so that the display can show more image details and effects than the actual number of pixels.
Virtual pixels can display more image pixels than the actual pixels of the display, usually doubling the number of pixels in both length and width, resulting in a total pixel count four times that of real pixels.
The points of virtual pixels are dispersed, and the color representation of virtual points is formed by the mixing of adjacent red, green, and blue pixels, with the light-emitting points located between the lamp tubes.

Real Pixel:
Since the number of physical pixels and the number of actually displayed pixels in a real pixel display are the same, its display effect is stable but may be limited by the number of physical pixels.
Virtual Pixel:
Virtual pixel technology can combine multiple physical pixels into one virtual pixel, enriching the image details and enhancing clarity. At the same time, since a virtual pixel is composed of multiple physical pixels, its brightness can exceed that of a single physical pixel, maintaining clarity in high-brightness environments.
Virtual pixel technology also improves the viewing angle of LED displays, allowing viewers to see clear images from wider angles.
III. Cost and Application
Real Pixel:
Since each pixel point in a real pixel LED display corresponds to a physical pixel point, its manufacturing cost is relatively high, especially when high-resolution display is required.
Virtual Pixel:
Virtual pixel technology can effectively improve the cost-effectiveness of LED displays. Using a virtual pixel large screen can reduce the number of lamp tubes by a quarter while achieving the same visual effect as a real pixel screen without reducing the number of lamp tubes. This significantly lowers the overall cost of the screen.
