What is the difference between LED display and screen?

Is the LED display the same product as the display? Or are the two different products? So what's the difference?
1.The technical principle
LED display
LED (Light Emitting Diode) display is realized by controlling the display method of semiconductor light-emitting diodes. It uses different materials to manufacture LED pixels of different colors, and these pixels are evenly arranged to form a display screen, which can display a variety of information such as text, graphics, images, animations, etc.
Display (generalized)
Display is a broader concept that includes various types of display technologies, such as LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) and so on. These technologies are based on different physical principles to achieve the display of images.
LCD display: The light is adjusted by changing the arrangement of liquid crystal molecules under the action of an electric field, and the image is displayed by irradiating the backlight.
OLED display: self-emitting under the action of electric current through organic light-emitting materials, without the need for a backlight.
2.The display effect
LED display
High brightness: LED displays usually have high brightness and are suitable for use in outdoor strong light environments.
Rich color: The full-color LED display achieves rich color performance through the combination of red, green and blue LED lamp beads.
Limited resolution: Especially for large-pitch LED displays, the effect of close-up viewing is not good, but with the development of technology, the resolution of small-pitch LED displays is also improving.
Display (generalized)
Color and contrast: Different types of displays perform differently in color and contrast. For example, LCD displays have more realistic color performance, but the contrast ratio may not be as good as OLED displays.
Resolution: Displays such as LCD and OLED usually have a higher resolution and are suitable for high-precision displays.
Viewing angles: LCD displays have limited viewing angles, and color and contrast will drop when viewed off-center; The OLED display, on the other hand, has a wide viewing angle.
3. Application scenarios
LED display
Outdoor advertising: Because LED displays have the characteristics of high brightness and large size, they are widely used in outdoor billboards, stadiums and other occasions that require long-distance viewing.
Commercial display: It is also commonly used in shopping malls, exhibition halls and other commercial display occasions, which can attract the attention of the audience.
Display (generalized)
TVs & Monitors: LCD displays are widely used in TVs, monitors and other devices to provide clear images and color performance.
Smartphones and tablets: OLED displays are widely used in high-end smartphones and tablets due to their high contrast, wide viewing angles, and flexible displays.
Other occasions: including car displays, computer monitors and other application scenarios.
4. Features and advantages
LED display
Long life: LED lamp beads have a long life and low maintenance cost.
Low power consumption: LED displays are more energy-efficient than certain types of displays, such as LCD when the backlight is fully on.
Splicable: It can be spliced into a large display area to meet the needs of large-scale activities.
Display (generalized)
Thin and portable: such as LCD and OLED displays, etc., with the characteristics of thin and portable, suitable for use in a variety of occasions.
Accurate color: For example, LCD displays have excellent performance in color reproduction, which is suitable for the needs of professional image editing and design.
Flexible display: OLED display can be made into a curved or foldable screen, providing more possibilities for device design.
